QR codes in real estate: signs, flyers and listings

Short answer: put a dynamic QR code on every yard sign and flyer, link it to the listing, and point it to the next listing when the home sells – the sign is reused and you see how many people scanned.

Where agents use QR codes

  • Yard signs: listing, photos, virtual tour, “book a viewing”.
  • Window cards and flyers: floor plan PDF or the listing page.
  • Business cards: your contact page with Call and WhatsApp.
  • Open houses: a links page with the brochure, mortgage calculator and your reviews.

Sizes for signs

People scan signs from the sidewalk or the car: plan 15–25 cm (6–10 in) for a yard sign and add “Scan for photos & price” in big letters. Test from the street before ordering many signs.

One sign, many listings

With a dynamic code, the sign is not tied to one house. When it sells, change the destination to your next listing or your agency page. Scan statistics show which signs and neighbourhoods get attention.

Questions

How many codes do I need?

One per sign or campaign, so the statistics tell them apart. Agencies with many signs usually choose a plan.
